Description
Flying log book for navigator’s, air bombers, air gunner’s and flight engineers for Sandy Christison, flight engineer. Covers the period 6th May 1944 to 24th April 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Riccall, RAF Holme-on-Spalding Moor and RAF North Creake. Aircraft flown in were Halifax Mk 2 and Halifax Mk 3. He served with 76 Squadron and 171 Squadron, surviving a forced landing and a bale-out. He flew a total of 37 operations; 36 daylight and one at night. Many operations are simply marked 'ops' or 'special ops'. Targets that are identified are Falaise, Tirlemont, Brest, Sterkrade, Soesterberg, Le Havre, Gelenskirchen and Calais. His pilot on operations was FLight Sergeant Allen.
