Navigator’s, air bomber’s and air gunner’s flying log book for A Woolley, flight engineer. Covering the period from 6 July 1943 to 25 June 1945. Detailing his flying training, operations flown and instructor duties. He was stationed at 1654 Conversion Unit RAF Wigsley, 106 Squadron and 5 Lancaster Finishing School RAF Syerston, 106 Squadron RAF Metheringham, 55 Base RAF East Kirkby, 9 Squadron RAF Bardney and 50 Squadron RAF Sturgate. Aircraft flown in were Manchester and Lancaster. He flew a total of 45 operations, 29 night operations with 106 Squadron, 8 Daylight and 8 night operations with 9 Squadron. Targets were Milan, Leverkusen, Nuremburg, Berlin, Mannheim, Hannover, Bochum, Haagen, Kassel, Modane, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Brunswick, Bohlen, Altenbecken Viaduct, Ladbergen, Sassnitz, Harburg, Essen, Dortmund, Arnsberg, Würzburg, Molbis, Lützkendorf, Swinemunde, Pilsen, Heligoland, and Berchtesgaden. He also flew Two Cook's tours.
