Description

Flying log book for Bill Chubb, flight engineer covering the period from 12 September 1944 to 2 May 1945. Detailing his flying and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF St Athan, RAF Topcliffe (1659 HCU) & RAF East Moor (432 Sqn). Aircraft flown in were Halifax Mk 2 & Halifax Mk 3. He flew a total of 19 night-time and 6 daylight operation (total 25), plus one early return, all with 432 Squadron. Targets were Cologne, Bochum, Castrop-Rauxel, Neuss, Duisburg, Hagen, Karlsruhe, Osnabruck, Hanau, Saarbrucken, Grevenbroich, Magdeburg, Wanne-Eickel, Bohlen, Chemnitz, Manheim, Worms, Essen, Kamen, Mainz, Harburg, Leipzig and Keil. His pilot on operations was Squadron Leader Miller.
