My dear Mum,

Just looking at the date, and on the 6th I shall have been in the RAF. a year – does it seem like it? I was very pleased at the exam results, having come top in Navigation, 95 percent, also in Instruments, Maps, Magnetism 98 percent, and Signals 100 percent, quite a good percentage, hoping I can keep this up. My practical navigation, that is when flying is also good, according to the way I am marked on landing, so up to now everything is tops. We have been kept pretty well busy lately, all this week-end flying, it started to rain this afternoon so have had this opportunity to write to you and also a few other letters that have been outstanding. This is the first week-end that I have missed at my girl-friends and did I miss their Sunday dinner. I will try and send a few more snaps soon, do you think I have changed according to the others. And how are you all at home, plenty of hot weather, Evelyn still enjoying her sweets, will send some more soon. Well theres [sic] is not much more to say, only I am thinking of you all hoping to hear from you again soon,

Love. Reg xxxxx
