F/LT. STEINER & MISS WATSON
The wedding took place at Trinity Church, Whitehills, Banff, Scotland, of Helen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Watson, of “Helenslea,” Whitehills, and Flt.-Lieut. Dennis Steiner, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.Sceiner [sic], Maycross-avenue, Morden.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in white satin, and carried a bouquet of white and bronze chrysanthemums.
She was attended by her sister, Miss Joy Watson, and a friend, Miss Margaret Lawrence, in pink and blue respectively.
Mr. Peter Steiner was best man, and the choral service was conducted by the Rev. E.W. Burnett.
The bridegroom is well known as an ex-member of the Wimbledon Air Training Corps, having joined the then Air Defence Cadet Corps in November, 1938, and remaining in the corps until volunteering for Air Crew duties in 1942. He was commissioned as an Observer in Canada in 1943.
The bride was a member of the W.A.A.F., and the couple met on an R.A.F. Station, when the bridegroom was operating with Bomber Command.
