Dear Mum, Dad & Fmly, [sic] I’ve received several letters recently from all the family, Pat, G. Green & Herons, dated May-Aug. Also a very recent one 12th Oct from Doris. This informs me of my F/O, which I guessed had come through. You all seem to have had enjoyable holidays, the news must have made them very happy ones also. Perhaps next year will bring the opportunity for me as well. I had hoped Christmas, but I think I’ll just wish you a Merry Christmas & be with you in spirit! I’m still jogging along here OK, the weather is extremely wet at the moment & I’m inside most of the day. Time passes not too bad & I’m still continueing [sic] on as before. Love to all, Reg.
