Dear Mum,
At last I am getting a little straightened out, although on Friday it was just like starting all over again.
I had quite an enjoyable time at Alan’s place Thursday night and we caught the 8-25 train in the morning arriving at the camp by mid-day. We have had all varieties of weather rain, hail, sleet and snow and at present it is absolutely freezing. I am in
[page break]
a hut with 7 others, all my mates from Cambridge, and have the coke stove packed to the top, so we are quite comfortable.
We do very little here, and have all evenings off from 5 pm and all week-ends free, so have plenty of time of visiting Manchester, although from what we have seen of it we were disappointed. Anyway I can tell you more about this in my next letter.
Well, mum I will close now so [deleted] closing [/deleted] I send all my love. Write soon.
