Sir,
With reference to the letter from this Department of the 27th July, 1944, I am directed to inform you that no further information regarding the reported death of your son, Pilot Officer M. Adder has been received. In view, however, of the report from the International Red Cross Committee and of the lapse of time, action has now been taken to presume, for official purposes, that he lost his life on the 15th March, 1944.
I am to express the sympathy of the Department with you in your great loss and to assure you that should any additional details be received at a later date you will be informed.
