Description
Navigator’s, air bomber’s and air gunner’s flying log book for W H Shaw, wireless operator, covering the period from 26 November 1943 to 16 February 1947. Detailing his flying training, operations flown and post war flying with 37 squadron, 168 maintenance unit, transit aircraft section and middle east communications and support. He was stationed at RAF Yatesbury, RAF Evanton, RAF Aqir, RAF Abu Sueir, RAF Tortorella, RAF Shallufa and RAF Heliopolis. Aircraft flown in were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Liberator, Dakota, Argus, Warwick, York and Oxford. He flew two operations with 37 squadron. Targets were Verona and Freilassing. The log book also contains a portrait photo of him and two photos of the targets. It also lists his civilian flying details.
