My dear Mum and Dad, I wrote you a P/C this morning and having a letter this afternoon you strike lucky. I got a letter from Joyce Lawton last week – She, bye the way is Jack Tugman’s girlfriend’s girlfriend – If you follow. Apparently Jack is still missing. As I said in the P/C, I am thinking of changing my vocation and am hoping to take up farming – Of course I can’t do much here and so will leave it in the air and talk it all over with Pop when I return. There will probably be some very good repatriation schemes to the colonies after the war. Anyway I hope to do a spot of travelling and see some of these colonies. There has been a school arranged here and I am taking courses in Agriculture and Diesel Engineering. I have scrapped languages as hopeless – Perhaps you remember my school reports on French. I’m not likely to forget them. Please give my best to all the family and Mair. I have had several letters from Aunty Gladys lately please drop a line of thanks. Thank you all very much for all the parcels – The 3rd arrived last week – Lots of Love – Brian xxx
