Warr. Off. Jenkinson, of Boscarren, Falmouth received the D.F.M. awarded to his brother, Flt. Sgt. Peter Jenkinson R.A.F.V.R., and was accompanied by his sister, Miss Penelope Jenkinson.
This award was for bravery during a raid over Stuttgart, when Flt. Sgt. Jenkinson’s plane was hit and seriously damaged.

[underlined]1826262 Sergeant Peter Raeburn JENKINSON, with effect from 27.1.45, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, No. 153 Squadron. [/underlined] This airman, as flight engineer, has completed numerous operations against the enemy in the course of which he has invariably displayed the utmost fortitude, courage and devotion to duty.
