The final party from Luft VI came here today & brought your letter 63 & the packet of 6 photos of Frances which had arrived after I left. The photos are grand & have given me a great deal of pleasure. I’m delighted to hear of the safe homecoming of your parents – give them my very best regards. I’ve been to a German MO. Here about my nose & I must say that with the very limited facilities at his disposal he gave me a thorough examination but he can’t locate the cause of the trouble & therefore he can do nothing. I’ve almost forgotten now what taste & smell are & must just be as patient as I can. I approve of your financial settlement with your parents!
All my love darling
John.
