Just a line to let you know that I have successfully passed my exams & am now privileged to indulge in the exalted title of [underlined] Sergeant [/underlined]
I expected a letter today from you but none has arrived so I expect it be here tomorrow Anyhow after you receive this note dont [sic] write to me again until you hear from me beacause I am expecting to leave here on either Sunday or Monday for “ Some where in Lincolnshire” I will let you know my new address as soon as I possibly can
Well my love I must close now so Ill [sic] tell you

I love you like the very devil and missing you awfully (Especially at nights)

P.S. I have a little rash again but it is not so bad this time as on previous occasions I.
