Madam,
I am directed to refer to the letter dated 11th June, 1943, notifying you that your husband, Pilot Officer Ian Archer Wynn, Royal Air Force, was reported missing on 26th May, 1943 and to inform you that the following information has been received through the International Red Cross Committee: Pilot Officers Russell, Petts and one unidentified body were shot down on 26th May, 1943. No burial place is given.
It is not possible on this information to identify the unknown but as your husband is still unaccounted for and the above were members of his crew it is considered that you would wish to be notified of this report.
