Thank you for your letter of recent date, and I hasten to apologise for having incorrectly quoted your husband’s rank, that of Pilot Officer, in my letter of 13th April, 1946.
You may rest assured that his cross will be correctly inscribed, and in due course you should receive a photograph of the graves from the Imperial War Graves Commission.
