I have to refer with regret to the fact that your husband has been officially promulgated as missing on the 25th May, 1943, and in the circumstances you will wish to be informed to what allowances you are entitled under Air Ministry regulations.
The records of this Department show that you are in receipt of family allowance and allotment totalling 74s. 6d. a week, and this rate of payment will be continued by means of your present order book up to the 22nd September, 1943.
If your husband is still missing on this date, the payment may continue for a further period of nine weeks (i.e. up to and including

Any continuing allowance which may be due to you subsequently will be at the rate of pension which would be payable if a fatal casualty had been reported, and in order that this may be determined, I am to request that you will complete the enclosed form at your early convenience and return it to this Department in the envelope provided.
