In September 1939, 10 Squadron was part of 4 Group Bomber Command equipped with Whitleys at RAF Dishforth. From July 1940 to August 1942 the squadron was based at RAF Leeming where it converted to Halifaxes in December 1941. The squadron was based at RAF Melbourne from August 1942 to the end of the war.Refinements:
