My dearest Jean,
Just a line or so to let you know I arrived O.K. had a pretty good journey up, the train was on time at Waterloo and I was at Liverpool Street at 5.25, met Ron there and saw the rest of the boys on the train, after changing at Cambridge we finally got to the camp at 9.15pm, just in time

for a pint.
Jack went to the M.O. this morning and has been grounded for another two days, probably longer, so we're still a spare crew at the moment.
Well, darling, how did you get on this morning, did you look guilty? hope there was’nt any trouble, was sorry you did’nt come up to Waterloo but really think its the best way, don't you?
Must close now dearest, just a short note, will write a longer letter later on, take care of yourself, remember me to Mother and Dad.
All my love, darling,
Jack
