Dear Jean,
Just a few more lines to let you know am still staying around this noble city, am beginning to feel like being in the legion of the lost, however could be in worse places. Life runs on as usual, hope to be going to Saint John the weekend, will make a change, if the weather is fine I am going to try and hitch hike, it’s about 97. miles so should prove interesting.
Today I met a chap who [deleted word] left I.T.W. a week before me, he’s finished his service out here is going back to England soon, he said that although he’s had a good time here, home is best any where in the world. Have not heard from you for a week or so. I wonder if you are slipping, you know you started off well, how’s the cycling going, been run in for speeding yet? Well cheerio, am writing in a day or so.
Yours Jack
