Dear Mair, I got the photo and letter announcing its coming O.K – The photo is a peach and I have stuck it up over my bed – I like the hat – I hope you passed your first aid exams. Talking of boxing I only entered in the one show and then retired unbeaten – Last week I entered a wrestling show, but retired beaten – Poor show – It is very good of you to write to Hafryn, to let them know I am still kicking – Well Mair bach, as the duck season has gone by may be we will celebrate when the little pigs are grown up. I got a letter from Nancy last week. I just forget if “Jane” the cat is just a wee bit older or younger than yourself. In fact I have forgotten your birthday – an unforgiveable sin on my part – I have a good pal here – I think it is him in the snap I sent you and I will bring him along to have a ride on N****r – How do you get on with the Land Army work? I don’t suppose, though, it makes any difference as you used to work very hard before – Will please give my kindest regards to all the family – Love as usual – Brian xxx
