SECTION OFFICER LIDDELL, W.A.A.F., with her mother-in-law, after receiving from the King, at an investiture yesterday at Buckingham Palace, the Victoria Cross conferred on her husband, the late Captain Ian Liddell, of the Coldstream Guards.

THEIR HALF-WAY HOME

Daisy and Doris, recovering from bronchitis, cannot go out, so through the window Milly shows her sympathy at the Round House, Ware, Herts. This home is run by the Anglo-American Relief Fund for children who were evacuated to the countryside and now, for various reasons, cannot return home.
