Madam,

With reference to your letter of 12th April 1944, I am directed to acknowledge receipt of order book number V.A.7 289653, and to inform you that instructions have to-day been given for payment to you from your son’s Royal Air Force pay of the sum of 10s. 6d. The payments will be made to you monthly on the first day of each calendar month by the Royal Air Force Agents, Messrs. Glyn, Mills & Co., (Holt’s Branch), Osterley Park, Isleworth, Middlesex, and the sum now due to 30th April 1944 will be paid to you forthwith.

The balance of your son’s Royal Air Force pay, subject to the deductions referred to in this Department’s letter of 27th March 1944, and to recovery of the voluntary allotment overissued to you since the date of his appointment to a commission will be held to his credit pending receipt of his instructions as to its disposal.

I am to explain that the payments to you, now authorised, from your son’s pay are admissible only until he makes alternative arrangements with his bankers and will be terminated upon the completion of such arrangements.

I am, Madam
Your obedient Servant,
