Dear Lily,

Thanks very much for your airgraph, dated April 5, which I have just received. You were certainly right when you mentioned that I should give you a good telling off for not sending those photos sooner. Anyway you can consider yourself "told off", for now, but remind me, when I come home to take the matter up further, because at the moment[?] you have another "telling off" to come. What was the idea of telling the girls at your work that I am too young to have a young lady. Let me tell you sister [underlined]dear[/underlined], unless you want me to be a bachelor for the rest of my life, you had better start putting a few good words in for me, to one of your beautiful workmates, because by the time I come home their won't be a decent girl to pick from, and your not the only one in the family who can get married. Well I am afraid I must finish now so cheerio and I hope to be seeing you soon.
