Madam,

In reply to your letter of 7th June, 1944, I am directed to inform you that your husband was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer, with effect from 13.3.44, and that his rate of pay has been increased to 18/2d a day from that date. The provisional prisoner of war deductions have accordingly been increased to the appropriate rat viz: £5 8s 0d a calendar month.
