Dear Sir,
The Council of The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund have learnt with much regret that your son is reported missing, and I am asked to express their very sincere sympathy.
I am to inform you that if your missing son was making you a voluntary allotment from his Royal Air Force pay, you will be entitled to continue cashing the orders in your Royal Air Force order book for a period. If, however, you do not receive a communication from the Air Ministry regarding your title to a temporary allowance within three weeks from the date of this letter you should communicate direct with the Director of Accounts, Air Ministry, (Accounts 7K. Cas)., Whittington Road, Worcester. If your son had not made you a voluntary allotment but was making you regular payments for your support through unofficial channels, you should inform the Director of Accounts to this effect without delay.
Should you be in need of some financial assistance either now or at any time in the future, kindly let me know and I will arrange for our Representative to interview you at the earliest opportunity.
Yours truly,
[signature]
Squadron Leader,
Joint Secretary.
