Dear Joan
Writeing [sic] you a few lines hoping this to find you in the best of Health [sic] and all right, you will think I have forgotten you but, I have been busy at this end with one and the other, and I have been writeing [sic] you every day, but I made my mind to day that I would do so, and all so [sic] glad that Robert is safe & getting on all right, all hopeing [sic] he will be home soon and Uncle had a letter from Sam Yesterday [sic] he said he had been to the place were [sic] Robert came down, but they had moved further up again now

and he hoped he would, pull through all right and safe, Well [sic] I must Thank [sic] you very much for the Photo it is very good indeed also, of you both remember me to all at Scunthorpe when you see them Please, [sic]
