A big day for me today – as far as tobacco parcels are concerned. I received 4 of them 200 Churchmen; 1/2lb Cut Golden Bar – senders unknown; 200 weight from a Miss A Hoare whom I believe to be a friend of your Aunt Carr; also a large one containing 1lb tobacco & 200 gigs from “The Loardens” whoever they might be. It is annoying that these parcels are so anonymous. If you can trace the senders will so send my very grateful thanks. I now have a fair stock against cessation of supply. Unfortunately I’m still tasteless & unable to enjoy these gifts. I played soccer today – manage to play about once a week nowadays & hope to keep fit thereby. Arrival of mail shows signs of falling off this week. Hope you are keeping well, my darling & Frances too. All my love John.
