Dear Wing Commander Donaldson,
Your telegram has taken some time to catch up with me, so I hope that you will excuse me for being so long in thanking yourself and Squadron Leader Kendrick for it. I spend all my time these days dashing from one place to another with a suit case, and the resulting problem seems to have baffled the Postal experts completely.
I have made one crossing since
[page break]
leaving the Squadron, and I returned to Montreal this morning. It is an excellent job I think, and I consider myself very fortunate in coming here. Although I often wish I could be back at Foulsham once more! Because I was happy there.
I hope that things continue to go well for the Squadron, and that this letter will find you Sir, in case you have moved.
Yours very sincerely,
[underlined] John Stead [/underlined]
