Description

Oblique aerial photograph of Antwerp docks with the river Scheldte running from middle left to right. On the far bank are town buildings. In the distance open countryside on both banks. In the centre a canal leads from the river inland leading to three interconnected basins. The basins are surrounded by dockyard buildings. There are a number of dockside cranes. The basin at the bottom has a large number of river barges moored both alongside and nose in all sides of the basin. A road runs from left to right along the bottom. A further road runs from the bottom right vertically up to the road which runs left to right to the bridge at the top top of the bottom basin. Captioned 'Belgium Antwerp Docks'.
