Dear Roy & Mary.
I felt I must just write on Bee’s behalf & my own to congratulate you both – Roy for the honour bestowed upon him by the King, & you for having such a clever hubby. We heard Roy on the wireless some time ago & thought his voice came through very well indeed.
[page break]
How are the girls – I expect they are quite grown up. We hear about you sometimes from Ethel, & often think of the good old days spent in Hale.
Our very best wishes to you both.
Yrs V. Sincerely
Mabel. (Howard [inserted * [/inserted])
* You might wonder which Mabel !!
