[caption - written vertically on LHS of page presumably for landscape orientation of photo] 'Elder [sic] Dam The south-east end of the storage lake with the dam breached between the two valve houses at a point about 400 ft from its western end. Water is still pouring through the gap flowing fast downstream towards Kassel'. On the reverse 'Eder Dam, CH.9750'.
