Dear Bill,
Sorry I haven’t written before, I’m afraid its [sic] the usual excuse, you know the R.A.F. messing us about again. Things are’n’t [sic] going too bad over here, but I’m just as “cheesed” as ever.
I played in a friendly match yesterday. We played in “pukka” kit but we had to use jackets for goal posts. It was quite a good game, although we

lost 2-1 but did I feel stiff [deleted] y [/deleted] this morning, phew!! But I wish we could get a few more games in. I could really do with some practice [sic].
By the way will you give me some ‘gen’ on the Club Dance; just when it is, band and any thing else of interest? I’m hoping to be home on April 7[underlined] TH [/underlined] but thats [sic] a “conservative estimate”, it may be anything from the “7[underlined] TH [/underlined] to the 70[underlined] TH [/underlined]”.
Have you heard from Joe just lately?

I think I remember Les saying that he had been posted from St. Athan.
Let me know what you’ve decided and just what you’re going to do about “Post War”. I’d be very interested and of course if I can help at all, well just say the word.
Well I’ve just about run out of news now so I’ll have to sign off. Remember me to the blokes.
Yours as Ever
Ray
P.S.
Give my love [underlined] to Doris. [/underlined]
