Dear, Dad
Just a few lines in answer to your welcome letter which I recieved [sic] yesterday. I am getting Busy writing letters to all who write to me.
Well Dad how is work is going I hope you the German prisoners busy on timber production while I do a little work of German distraction. But! Dont tell them you have a son whom [sic] is in air crew it wouldent [sic] be to [sic] healthy for you. As we are not so popular in Germany as they think we as [sic] not human.
Well speaking of some one holding Jerry up we [indecipherable word] his Bockr when we went to Osnabrück on Sunday

This Raid knocked his last good town to [underlined] Hell [/underlined] and I do mean [underlined] Hell [/underlined] . That is the Reason he can’t do so much to stop the advance. Dad how would you stand if your backbone was cut out well that is what bombing is doing to Jerry.
Well Dad if you want a few more towns to look up in Germany try Dulmen Starkrade and Osnabrück they are quite an intresting [sic] bunch to look up.
Dad, I am going on leave on the First of April so I shall see you then.
The weather hear [sic] is good and it is lovely for sun bathing.
Sorry I wrote such a short letter last time but I just finished it be for [sic] I went to Starkrade so you see I was a bit pushed for time.
So you don’t like your Norton

350, well I think all motorbykes [sic] are a like [sic]. But you ride more and so you can tell the difference if any.
What do you mean by saying that you though [sic] I was a heel and going out for a good time and out with a different girl every night. I like Maisie and I am being true to her, that is what she expects and what I expect of her.
Well Dad I was glad to here [sic] that you were keeping well and happy and hope you are allways [sic] like that
Well Dad I must close now
