Title

Letter from Alan North to his parents

Description

Alan writes about the slowness of mail from the UK. He has completed his exams and has done well. He has qualified as a pilot and completed air bombers and air gunner courses. He enjoyed Christmas. He travelled to Chicago and was impressed with the city and the friendliness of the people. They went to a play and later, a farce, in addition to parties with locals. Then they went to a planetarium and another couple of plays.
Next they travelled to Detroit then onto Canada. In Toronto they watched another play then rushed back to their station at Mountain View.
