Description

A target photograph taken during an operation to Pesaro, Italy. The clear image is orientated with south at its upper edge. The Adriatic and the cliffs to the SE of Pesaro can be seen with the Strada Statale 16 running along the narrow beach. Inland the terraced fields are visible as are a few buildings.
The photograph is annotated A4 in the top right corner and captioned: '1750. FOG. 28/29 AUG 44 // NT 8" 6900' → 280° 21.11 PESARO Z 9x500 6x250 Mk III 24 SGT BIRD. G. 104.'
 Below the photograph is handwritten 'TOP NOTCHER.'
On the opposite page of the album a handwritten summary of the operation describes the target as 'TROOP CONCENTRATIONS SOUTH OF PESARO'.
