Description

Two target photographs taken on separate operations to Feuersbrunn in Austria.
First photograph shows the grass field but no runways stand out. Vehicle tracks and small bomb craters can be seen. It is annotated 'A4' and captioned:
'1459 FOG. 29/30 JUNE 44 // NT 8". 4300' -> 065° 00.03.
FEUERSBRUNN. A/D. B. 12x250. P.6. SGT BIRD. H. 104.'
Underneath is written 'Top Notcher' and to the right is written 'Feuersbrunn Aerodrome Austria'.
Second photograph is clearer and shows the extent of the airfield with a perimeter track around it. Two sticks of bombs are exploding across the centre of the airfield and the single hanger can be seen in the upper right quarter. The photograph is annotated 'A4' and captioned:
