My darling Jean,

Thanks so much for your 'letter in haste' written last Monday, I think it would be a good idea to ask the vicar and his wife and Mrs Tandy as well if you would like her to come, she’s known me since I was very small. While I remember it Norman's address is. 1211859, L.A.C. Fox N.H. S.H.Q. Signals, R.A.F. Station Lympe [sic], Nr Hythe, Kent, he said his next leave is on July 9th so expect he will have just gone back, however its a good idea to send an

invitation.

Well, another problem regarding our honeymoon is solved, I received a letter from the White Hart Hotel Salisbury, they've booked a room for us for the 25th. Also I found out their times for dinner which is between 7 & 8 pm so we can ajust [sic] our programe [sic] accordingly.

So sorry to hear that Fathers painting has'nt been successful, he's kept quiet about it to me! Expect he's afraid I'll pull his leg about it.

It looks as though Eastwoods are trying to pull a fast one, however we'll soon settle that, there's more ways of killing a cat! than choking it with cream (old Chinese saying)

when you wrote that letter you must have been rather in a hurry, you've put But Claygate is only two stations past Claygate, you are sure you have'nt moved my home town? strange you must be in love.

We've just returned from a trip to Denmark, just an operation to test the German radar system, apparently our radar boffins are over there seeing a raid from the German viewpoint.

Well darling not much more news, theres all kinds of rumours going round about

our moving toward the end of the month but I'm not paying much attention to them, I think a lot is idle chatter.

By the way, Jack & Win want to know what we want for a wedding present, have you a spare list?

Well, my darling this is all for now, give my kind regards to Mother and Dad.

Take care of yourself

All my love

Jack
