Wednesday.

My darling,

Thanks so much for your letter which arrived this morning, expect you have received my first letter telling you all about my trip up.

As far as I can tell we should get away on Friday but are unlikely to catch the 4.08 from Doncaster as we have to parade at 3 o/c, however I may be able to get away earlier, if not should catch the 6.15 and be home at 11.30.

We finished our R.A.F. Regiment course this morning, it was quite enjoyable and I managed

to win 8/-, we had a rifle competition also sten ditto, I did fairly well on the rifle but the sten was what I won the money on. I got 29 out of 30 on a 4" target from 25 yards, quite deadly but you could’nt beat that accuracy throwing plates or could you?

Am glad the clock is still going, will try and tackle the other one when I come home.

Have you been to the Naafi yet? hope to hear all the news when I come home, I've heard some rumours that we are

only getting about 10 days leave after our board, still must wait and see.

Well darling not much more to write about at the moment, give my love to Mum and Dad.

Hope to hear those 'rumbles' on Friday evening, until then take care of yourself and all my love darling.

Cheerio for now

Your loving husband

Jack
