My Dearest Mair, I had a letter from you last week and it was grand to hear from you once more. Everyone at home seems to be so remote these days, but why worry I will soon be back amongst you all once more. At the moment we are living in temporary billets which are not so hot, but we’re hoping to move over to the permament [sic] camp next week sometime. From what I hear of home-life, the lights will be on once again, it must be grand to see lights blazing away over the valleys once more. I expect you are settled in your new home by now, and when I do get home I will be dropping in very often to borrow you, and then away we’ll go to the flicks, or to a dance, or best of all a quiet ramble or drive around the hills and just sit & talk to each other for we are not too well acquainted are we? Love Brian
