Thanks for the letter, you mention your leaves have been cancelled, but Ive [sic] already had a forty eight since my weeks leave so I don’t think ours are.
Admonishment:- Please do not talk about the “thrill of flying” as its just a bind, its just like sitting in a car & going along, [deleted] the [/deleted] only you can sleep more comfortably in a car than you can in a crate.
I see you have ambitions

to be a sailor, when you remustering to the Wrens. The bloke who pulls those strapping great girls around in a boat must be nuts, you wouldn’t catch me doing it.
Well I’m flying shortly & as I have to go & get a parachute & harness & it’s a good 1/2 mile away I better get weaving
