Many thanks for your most welcome letter with the good news of Franks recovery. It was certainly a nightmare alround [sic] & you dear must have been nearly franktic, [sic] I sincerely hope he is much better & will soon be out of hospital. His adventure has given him plenty of publicity our local paper was full of it. Well dears Xmas is here again will you please accept this small token & buy some little thing with it.
I will be thinking of you on Xmas day & drink a toast

Hoping we will be altogether next year. I’ll say cheerio for now & write again soon
