My Dear Vic,
I have been meaning to write to you for sometime now, to let you know what I am doing etc. The Mosquito idea fell through and I am about to join a P.F.F. squadron in case you want to do the same I thought Id let you know that I can arrange it, most probably, but its not everybody's idea of fun and I won't try to sell the scheme to you as I don't know much about it myself yet.
I don't know what station I'll be at yet but you can write to me at this address any time and maybe
[page break]
in a month or two I'll know more about it. The Mosquitoes are a good thing if you can get them but the lists are closed now as far as I can gather and I think its almost impossible to get on them. If perchance you should get posted to a main force squadron I strongly advise you to make for P.F.F. right away and thats where I might come in useful. If theres no compulsion I'd advise you to stay where you are for the time being.
I hope Pam is well and that your new abode is satisfactory. I shall be looking you up one of these days, when I get down Oxford way again.
Love to Pam,
All the best,
Cheerio,
Johnny.
