Sender's Name & Address - 1146590 [indecipherable letters] GILL R. 159 M.U. [two indecipherable words]

Dear Ken & Vera & Derek.

Thank you very much for your Xmas [indecipherable word] they came a little early but that is far better than them being late isn't it.

The young villain seems to be doing fine from all accounts. I always have a short [indecipherable word] about him in the letters from home, they certainly think the world of him & I'm glad they do, but then who wouldn't. I did hear something about a raid in a battle ship, in which you took part, so I took it that you were back on ops again. You say it is a famous squadron that you are with. Well the only famous one I know of is No. 12. & I didn't think you’re with that are you. you'll remember that 12 is the one I was on hence its fame.

I suppose you chaps are having plenty of work these days what with all those targets you keep bombing. I can't understand how the Germans are putting up with it; the only reason I can think is that the authorities have too tight a hold. Any way I'll have to close so Cherrio

Lots of love to all Ron [kisses]
