Dear mum & dad,

Just a few lines in answer to your letter; we've been been [sic] rather busy ourselves just lately and I've not had much time to write.

Our latest exploit was to the E-boat pens yesterday; todays papers carry an account of it though I daresay we could expand on it quite a lot.

Sorry to hear about Arthur Howarth's accident, he certainly had a "shaky do" alright; we passed very near to his island on our way back from the Tirpitz; I'll bet it's cold there.
