Dear Mr Wilson,
I feel that I must write to express my deep sympathy with you at this time of anxiety.
In some ways yours seems the hardest part – just writing & wondering day by day what has happened.
We all hope that your son is alive & well, though maybe a prisoner-of-war, but it is too early yet for any news to have come through.
In the meantime, in these difficult
[page break]
days of suspense may you be enabled to have a quiet confidence in God, & so know that inward peace that springs from committing ourselves & those we love into His Hands.
My prayers are with you & him.
May God bless you & make His face to shine upon you, & grant to you all needed patience & strength.
Yours very Sincerely,
E.C. Atkins (Padre)
