Extract from Norman William Smith’s air gunner logbook covering operations between 12 August 1944 and 3 December 1944 flying on Lancaster with 166 Squadron C Flight. 16 daylight and 15 night operations are recorded. Targets were Rieme, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Saarbrucken, Stettin, Essen, Cologne, Bochum, Dortmund. Wanne-Eickel, Abbeville, Le Havre, Calais, Cap Griz Nez, Westkapelle, Emerich, Gelsenkirchen, Duren, Karlsruhr and mine laying. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Sisson.
