Airgraph No. 2.
Dear Mum, Dad, Hazel & Norman,
To continue from airgraph no. 1. We had a flight photograph taken this afternoon and as soon as we get copies I’ll send some on to you. In addition I’ll try to get some copies of other photographs taken some of the other chaps I met at the Smyth’s. I am also at present in the middle of a lengthy and much delayed letter which I hope eventually to complete.
I see from the most recent airgraph from home that Hazel is getting on O.K. with the piano. I hope she will stick at it. It’s much easier to learn that way, playing regularly. It was also good to hear that the garden is getting some attention. I should stick to the usual vegetables, onions, beetroot, carrots, etc., but it would be a good idea to [deleted] [indecipherable word] [/deleted] sow them in different beds from last year. When the soil is fine enough just scatter [inserted] seeds [/inserted] in drills (shallow grooves) at the approx. depth given in the gardening book (this may be in the dark upstairs).

Dad’s dart scheme seems to be quite a steady source of income judging by some of the scores he gets. I only wonder the chaps don’t make a weekly subscription of it instead of going through the formality of playing against him. I haven’t heard from Norman recently but of course he has been moving about a lot. I’m winding up now (144 turns [inserted] [symbol] Ask Roland [/inserted]) so cheerio, & God bless you all. Ron XXXXXX
