Dear Sis,
Many thanks for your letter duly received, since you are still binding about a Xmas card I am enclosing one, incidentally this one [underlined] was [/underlined] intended for you but in the rush of getting on leave, it was left here – unposted.

Euny and I did come up to London on Wed but didn't think it was worth ringing you up as you would have only been able to see us for about 1/2 an hour. We went to the Locarno in the afternoon, and in spite of having

to return to camp that night we both enjoyed ourselves.

Sorry to hear Stan lost all his clothes honey, it must be a terrific worry for you duckie but cheer up, everything will come out right in the end.

Thats a good idea about having the phone put up dock, I'll be able to give you a tinkle. For myself Im back at the job again, but 6 weeks soon goes, and I'll be on leave again.
