Dear Sis,
Thanks for letter just received to-day, I expect by the time you receive this, you will have my letter telling you about my enforced holiday in the Bonny Highlands (drat the place)

I didn't know you had been contemplating a holiday, but I hope you had a very nice time, if you had half as good a time as I did when I went to Bournemouth, you did!

Eunice (note spelling) and asked her about the tone-rinse. I know she has a job to get it, but I'm sure she will do the best she can. Will let you know as soon as I hear from her.

I am quite well myself, and am gradually getting used to this place, but its rather lovely at first. Of course the scenery is marvellous – and quite a few visitors come to Edzell for holidays. The place itself has a pub (open all day) 9am to 1030 pm a post office and about 3 houses.

Have enclosed a couple of views to give you idea of the place.

So you go dancing at the Palais eh! - do you ever meet anyone that knows me? Don't forget to let me know if you do.

I'm glad to hear that everyone at home is quite well and I'm looking forward to the time when I can see you all again. St the moment I can't say exactly when I will get some leave, but it should be some time in September.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't heard from Stan for such a long time. Never mind dear, you can help to shorten this war by agitating for the second

front – and getting your friends to also.

We can do it, we have the men and the material, try to make people understand, the only reason it's delayed is because Churchill's gang is afraid of a strong Russia after the war. And of the communists taking over here – which they will do anyway.

The Slogan is “Second Front Now” before its too late.
