The printed caption reads: "Super Shooting: The incredible results of a night attack by R.A.F. Bomber Command on the Mitelland Canal, near Gravenhorst. It is amazing that such concentration and accuracy can be achieved on so slender a target at night'.
Bottom - two aircrew, the one on the left wearing battledress with half brevet and the one on the right a tunic with pilot's brevet, flight sergeant rank and side cap. Submitted with description 'Photo of two unidentified RAF aircrew in battledress, both holders of the Distinguished Flying Medal. On the left of the photo is a sergeant air gunner in battledress; on the right is a flight sergeant pilot in service dress'.
